Restorative Yoga in the Salt Cave

In this class we will explore shapes and poses that allow our body to sink into a deep state of relaxation. With the support of props we are able to hold poses without any strain on the muscles or joints, allowing us to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and achieve physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Restorative yoga is the perfect counterbalance to our more intense workouts and yoga classes, as well as our hectic and stressful modern lifestyles. Combining this gentle practice with the healing, mineral-rich air in the salt cave, you are sure to leave feeling peacefully bliss.
We have mats and blocks or feel free to bring your own. Please note, as we relax deep into our mats, our body temperature may shift as the nervous system slows down, often causing us to feel cool. For this reason, you may also want to bring a light sweater or hoodie for your comfort.

 
Jenn Panchalk is hosting this event.  Jenn’s experience with alternative modalities began in high school when her father introduced her to self-hypnosis as way to gain confidence. Jenn became very curious about nutrition and its role in the human body and wellness during her time in university. At this same time, she was introduced to the concept of Ayurveda. She immediately enrolled in nutrition classes and went on to get a Master’s of Science in Human Nutrition followed by a second BS in Dietetics. This led Jenn to begin exploring meditation and yoga. After experiencing some profound changes in all facets of her life, Jenn made the decision to get certified in yoga and working to help others realize the amazing healing powers of Eastern and alternative practices. Jenn remains ever-curious and open-minded to new modalities of energy and body healing, most recently exploring mindfulness, reiki, reflexology, and other forms of energy/body work.
 
 
 
Beginning on 4/11, we are doing a chakra series with the Root Chakra being first, followed by the rest of the chakras during the following 7 weeks.

In this 8-week series you will learn about the 7 different chakras, where they are located, and how to balance and activate each one. Each class will explore a single chakra through breathing exercises, yoga poses, mantra, and music set to the vibrational frequency of that chakra. Our final week will be a culmination of the entire series, focusing on the whole body and chakra system. 
April 11 - Root/Muladhara Chakra
April 18 - Sacral/Svadisthana Chakra
April 25 - Solar Plexus/Manipura Chakra
May 2 - Heart/Anahata Chakra
May 9 - Throat/Vishuddha Chakra
May 16 - Third Eye/Ajna Chakra
May 23 - Crown/Sahasrara Chakra
May 30 - Full Body/All Chakras Culmination
