ServePGH: On October 2nd, servePGH, in conjunction with the several City of Pittsburgh offices, hosted the city's first City Cares Day.  This volunteer event brought together nearly 30 city employees,  Mayor Bill Peduto, City Council members,  as well as several employees from the Wyndam Grand Hotel in this unique collaborative event. Through a partnership with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, these volunteers cleaned up and winterized several flower beds near Point State Park.

“Pittsburghers are committed to helping our neighbors and keeping our neighborhoods beautiful. As elected officials, we need to follow our constituents’ lead and do the same.” said Councilman Gilman.

A sincere thank you goes out to The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy for hosting this event, Dulcinea Bakery for providing a delicious snack, and Coffee Tree Roasters for donating coffee and keeping our volunteers warm and energized!
